I haven't really played much with editing software before.
Gave the original a tweak to improve contrast & saturation as the mountains were looking a bit lost in the background.
Ended up with the clouds and mist having a more smokey look to them.

Photo taken at Auckland Speleo Group (ASG) Hut in Waitomo looking about 110km back to the mountains.

  • ƒ/8.0
  • 135.0 mm
  • 1/500s
  • ISO 200

The power lines were kind of annoying me so I decided to have a bash at something a little different for me and used a cloning tool to recreate the trees and lose those nasty lines.  Reasonably happy with my first attempt.  What do you think?

Nicely done. The shot certainly looks better in the cloned version. A great view too.  Cool

Cloning away power lines Fuzz1

Nice image Fuzzy. The problem with long distance shots is that haze. I took the liberty of darkening the mountains and sky with a multiple layer approach. Don't know if it improved it though.
