How do I upload an image?
Well, at this point in time Forumotion cant host images. This means that you need to host it somewhere else (facebook, google+, Flickr, etc.) copy the image location and then click on "Insert an image" button above and paste the image location into the URL box. The image wont show until you "send" the message.
If you have any problems doing this please email me albeephoto@clear.net.nz
If this proves to be an issue I will change the forum provider, so keep me informed please.

Re: How do I upload an image?
Hi!, if you go to "Imgur.com" you can get quick and easy image hosting. (trying to make it that bit easier)

So... I have been unable to get Flickr to give me a url that will allow me to embed a pic.
If anyone can work out where in Flickr to get the correct *url* I would love to hear from you
However the option to the left of the insert picture (icon with pic and disc in front) takes you to a hosting site linked to the forum www.servimg.com which will produce a url that will work
Oh - and if you want to see whether the attachment is working before you "send" the post, use the "Preview" option

Embedding Flickr images
partly there with Flickr
it doesn't seem to let me use HTML to embed.
It it says "HTML is OFF" at the side of the post (below emoticons) despite the fact that in my preferences I have set HTML always ON ?!
If you use the Flickr "Share" arrow and choose BBCode and then a size, you can copy and paste that code directly into the post to get the picture

Anything larger than 1024x678 would appear to give only part of the picture and take you on to Flickr if you click on the image.

Re: How do I upload an image?
Hi! Try right clicking on the image then opening it in a new tab, that URL might work.
Re: How do I upload an image?
Thanks - had already tried. The latest version of Flickr doesn't like that.CAbbottNZ wrote:Hi! Try right clicking on the image then opening it in a new tab, that URL might work.
Right click gives 'open link' options but the new tab/window opens with the next pic in the album
I get the feeling it's something to do with the HTML being OFF - even though I've already set it to ON in my Profile/Preferences
Any idea Albee why it's off ?
.... and my signature isn't showing even though I've set that too ?!
Re: How do I upload an image?
I have turned on signatures, but can't see anything in settings about HTML. Any ideas Cam?
Fuzzy I can made you an admin if you want to look at the settings yourself.
Have also turned on gallery if anyone wants to do one.

Great image Lyndon. Your composition of this shot is really good, with your eyes being drawn to the feature stump LLQ. What altitude is this taken at? Looks fairly close to the treeline. Jumbo maybe?
